THE COLOR OF FAME WAS SOLD FEBURARY 17, 2009

Color was sold February 17, 2009 to Crimson Farms LLC. We really enjoyed owning him and working with him these last few years. We will miss that and all our wonderful clients we have also worked with. I thank all of you for supporting him and our program. Let me assure you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him or his shipments. We just could not give him what he truly deserved, a place he could call home. We do not have our own farm and our plans did not include one. We wanted him to find a place he knew was his, had great turn outs and in a family of friends. We fell he got that with his new home. We will miss him, but it was the right thing to do for him. Here are the contacts. Rick Will handle the breeding's.

THE COLOR OF FAME GETS RECORDS
(stats compiled 01/2009)

Foaled in 1993, The Color Of Fame is a 17.1 hand, registered Pinto American Saddlebred stallion. A leading overall sire of Half-Arabian halter winners in North America for almost a decade, The Color Of Fame’s roster of national winners becomes more impressive with each passing year.

Sired by Colour Me Hot (Hot August Nite x Stormy April Sky) out of Baroness Reverie (Commander’s Cadence x Longacre’s Baroness) “Color” initially became the leading sire of Half-Arabian national winners with just a handful of foal crops on the ground.

Before he was six, The Color Of Fame daughters in particular were making his name known at the national level.  In 1999, PKH Pure Elegance (x PL Darque Satin) got the crowd’s attention as U.S. Reserve National Champion HA Yearling Sweepstakes Filly.  A year earlier another yearling filly, The Heiress To Fame (x DR Fostoria Doll), won the Ohio Buckeye HA Mare Halter Championship and launched into a winning streak that took her undefeated through duel Canadian National Championships in 2000 and back-to-back U.S. National Championships in 2000 and 2001.  At the 2004 U.S. National Show, Fames Serenade (x Sunhi Ddancer) stirred up the Arabian show world and took Louisville by storm, winning three major National Championships in a row, in HA Halter Mares Stock/Hunter Open and Amateur, as well as the HA Futurity Fillies.  To add weight to the glory, the Reserve titles in all three classes also went to daughters of The Color of Fame, with DR Gilty Pleasures (x Alovalie) taking the Reserve in HA Mare Halter Stock/Hunter Amateur and the Futurity Fillies, and The Heiress To Fame (x DR Fostoria Doll) going Reserve in the HA Halter Mare Stock/Hunter Open.

The Color Of Fame was the leading non-Arabian sire of champions at the 2007 U.S. National Championships and at the 2008 Scottsdale Show he had a number of children bringing home the blues. Imagine Fame (x Sunhi Ddanncer), a full sister to multi-national champion Fames Serenade, won the HA Stock/Hunter Three-Year-Old Filly, Open and Amateur/Owner, and was Champion HA Stock/Hunter Mare AAOTH. Aaragon BPA (x Sunhi Ddanncer), a full brother to the two sisters, was Reserve Champion in the HA Stock/Hunter Two-Year-Old Gelding class. Additionally, sons and daughters of The Color Of Fame were 2008 Scottsdale Top Tens in Half-Arabian Halter and Hunter Pleasure (Open, Amateur, Junior To Ride and Junior Horse).

While leading sires Magnum Psyche and Afire Bey V have each sired well over 1,000 foals, The Color of Fame has fewer than 300 get. In spite of his relative lack of numbers, and much less promotion, he has managed to sire an extraordinary group of champions and national winners and literally change the look of Half-Arabian halter horses in the Arabian show ring over the last ten years. The Color Of Fame’s relatively few registered Half-Arabian offspring have kept the demand for his get high and made his national winning percentages simply outstanding.

Through 2008, The Color Of Fame is the sire of 77 national winners in Halter, Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Native Costume, Country English Pleasure and Dressage. He has produced 52 National and Reserve National Champion offspring. Between them they have accumulated a total of 227 national awards. Over 90% of his registered AHA Sweepstakes competitive get are champions or reserve champions in halter and/or performance, a remarkable percentage for any stallion of any breed.

That The Color Of Fame has grown in popularity among show horse breeders over the last decade is only natural. At the annual Iowa Gold Star Futurity in September his breeding’s compete strongly with those of the purebred Arabian stallions. He was the ninth highest bid over all. He has always been the most important non-Arabian stallion in the live auction at that show because he has been the only one commanding service fee bidding at the highest levels.

Finally, The Color Of Fame’s champions have crossed numerous borders, often closed to other stallions. He is the sire of halter winners that consistently go on to compete well in performance, particularly in Western and Hunter Pleasure where their extreme size, trainability, wonderful quality and beautiful markings make them stand-outs in the show ring. As would be expected of this great sire, he also has numerous champions in both the Pinto, NSH and American Saddlebred show rings.

2008 US Nationals

Mi Morena - She continued her great show record by placing another top ten at the 2008 US Nationals placing fourth in the 3 year old futurity class with Jeff Schall. She was the top placing Marwan foal and is now home waiting to give birth to her Pyro Thyme SA foal.

THE COLOR OF FAME

U.S. National Championships, 2008

At the 2008 U.S. National Championships, offspring of The Color Of Fame were a dramatic presence. Fourteen sons and daughters of the famous sire of Half-Arabians National winners were entered in 26 classes, both Halter and performance. Between them they brought home ten Top Ten awards and a Reserve National Championship. Nine of the titles were achieved in Halter and one in performance.

Highlighting the formidable group was Imagine Fame (x Sunhi Ddanncer by Adjusted) owned by Shuster Arabians, LLC and shown by Jeff Schall and Jason Shuster. Imagine Fame was the 2008 U.S. Reserve National Champion HA Stock/Hunter Halter Mare AAOTH and took Top Ten awards in both HA Stock/Hunter Halter Mares and HA Futurity Fillies. The lovely bay Tobiano three-year-old is a full sister to six-time U.S. and Canadian National Champion HA Halter Mare, Fames Serenade.  Another substantial winner at the show was DR Midniteconfessions (x Alovalie by Bereiah). Owned by Lance and Debby Walters, and shown by Debby and Bob Boggs, DR Midniteconfessions was Top Ten in three classes: HA Stock/Hunter Halter Mare, HA Stock/Hunter Halter Mare AAOTH and HA Futurity Filly. She also took two Championships and a Reserve in these classes at the Canadian National Championships last summer. Also closely related to National winners, DR Midniteconfessions counts among her full siblings and full siblings in blood the great Champions, DR Gilty Pleasures, SP Fortunefivehundred and The Heiress To Fame.

Additionally, The Color Of Fame offspring won Top Ten awards in HA Gelding Stock/Hunter Halter AAOTH, HA Futurity Filly, and HA Yearling Filly Sweepstakes. PKH Flame of Fame (x Aldebaran Scarlet by Halima Sahib) took the only performance title in HA Western Pleasure.

2008 Iowa Gold Star Futurity August 18 - 31

The Color Of Fame - He put on quite the show and Jerry Schall of Shada INC. had his hands full with the fireworks going off and the loud crowd cheering him on. Everyone enjoyed watching Color put on his show. I hope to have video's available soon, thanks to Deanna McNeilly of Windborne Video Productions. It is a must see.

2008 Canadian Nationals

Mi Morena - She took fourth place in the three year old futurity filly class. she was only 1 point behind the third place filly and only 2 points out of the reserves spot. Scottsdale - February 2008

Just Uss - Just Uss is our four year old Western gelding with Jody Strand. Jody wanted to move him into a bridal as Just Uss is a very strong horse and was pulling through the bezel. With a couple of months work we decided to see how he was doing by showing him in Scottsdale. It would be his first show in a bridle and he did much more than anyone should expect from a junior horse, let a lone one showing in the bridle for the first time. We were really excited and happy with the job Jody did in getting him ready.

Western Pleasure 18 - 39 ATH - Jill Mohr had to show him first in the sections. It was right away at 8 AM in the rain and his first trip in the bridle. Jill did a great job in the sections placing 3rd on the cards of 26 entry's just in this section and getting 1st on one card. In the finals they looked great placing a 2nd, 3rd and 5th on the cards and finished 3rd out of the final class of 20. His first top ten!

Western Pleasure open Geldings - This was Jody's first class showing him at Scottsdale. There were 19 horses in the class and most of the well respected trainers had horses in the field. There were at least 4 national champions in the class. Just Uss and Jody had a great ride and won the class!

Western Pleasure open - Jody and Just Uss were in a class of 29 open western horses. All were very seasoned horses with lots of wins under them and their handlers. Jody and Just Uss took top ten honors finishing either 4th or 5th over all. That was Just Uss second top ten of the show.

Mi Morena - Three year old Mares 0pen There were two sections and both had many top quality mares in them. Mi Morena ended up a strong top ten. We were a little disappointed as some mares she had beaten in Canada where a head of her on the cards but we all know each judges panel will pick a different horse. So next for her is a drive for a national title.

THE COLOR OF FAME
Scottsdale Show, 2008

Once again The Color Of Fame had a great Scottsdale Show with a good group of offspring representing him in both halter and performance competition. There were 17 offspring of The Color of Fame entered this year and all of them were shown. Thirteen won awards including 3 Championships, 2 Reserves and 13 Top Ten awards in Halter, as well as 4 Top Tens in Hunter Pleasure competition.

Highlights of the show were Imagine Fame’s 3 Championships and 1 Reserve in open and amateur Halter, Aragon BPA’s Reserve Championship in Stock/Hunter 2-Year-Old Geldings and the multi-Top Tens in Hunter Pleasure Amateur and open classes won by AW Fames Ovation.

The Color Of Fame offspring like PKH Miss Elegant Fame, Fantasy of Color and Soleil Du Color WF displayed their sire’s ability to produce trainability and versatility by placing well in Halter JTH and Hunter Pleasure JOTR. Also among those that smoothly and successfully cross the bridge between amateur and open competition were AW Fames Ovation, Color Me Famous SMF, and Aragon BPA.

The Color Of Fame continues to make his mark in the Half-Arabian show ring. The 2008 Scottsdale Show was only the beginning of what will certainly be a great show and breeding season.

.Thanks,

Christy Egan

October 2007

The Color Of Fame – The September issue of Arabian Horse Times published a list of leading purebred and half-Arabian sires of the winningest Yearling Regional stallions - awarding points based on progeny performance. For half-Arabian sires, Color was again the leading stallion by a prodigious margin of 123 points with 14 wins. The next two closest competitors were both purebred stallions scoring 71 points with 8 wins and 70 points with 6 wins respectively. This gives Color his eighth consecutive title at the regional level!

Shaynah Be SRA – (Marwan al Shaqab x Kinsaha out of Padrons Psyche and Fames Fax.) She is a very pretty filly, and Shaynah Be...whatever she wants! Watch for her in the Yearling Halter classes next year under Andy Sellman.

Shaynah Be SRA

September 2007

Ka’healani SRA – Minnesota Fall Festival - Ka’he was in the 2-Year Old Medallion Filly class where she again placed very highly, winning top ten honors against a large number of national quality mares. This flashy mare loves to show!

SRA Zhahzim SRA – This is the first son of Zimbolic PGN +/. Placing in both of his first two shows during September – Zhahzim has done very well. Iowa Gold Star - in the Yearling Auction class, he was the Reserve Champion and was first on one card.
Minnesota Fall Festival - Zhahzim again showed very well in the Yearling Colt/Gelding Auction class. One judge even gave him the second highest score in the class under the European judging system. The second judge also gave him high marks, but much to our chagrin, the third judge’s scores took him out of the top two places. Despite this setback, he still managed to finish with top ten honors. Zhazhim was bred for performance in hopes of one day following in his sire’s footsteps – not to mention looking remarkably like his sire, the aforementioned Zimbolic PGN+/.

Zhahzim SRA

August 2007

Mi Morena – Canadian Nationals -Mi Morena took the Reserve Championship in the 2-Year Old Jackpot Filly class. She keeps getting better with age and is easily one of the best 2-year olds in the country, and beat several notable fillies to take this championship. Her next stop will be in futurity classes with Andy Sellman next season.

CR Lightness – (Regel Basque X Pros Go Lightly). Lightness was purchased for both our performance and breeding programs. She will be shown in country next season by Rhonda. She is a very athletic mare with great legs, has a great pedigree and possesses wonderful movement. Look for her and Rhonda next season.

Angelique RF – (Hey Hallelujah ++// X HC Angelica out of New Market +//). We added this mare to our performance and breeding programs. She is bred to trot - and that she does! She is presently in training with Dianne Margerum and looks like she will be a park horse. She is certainly one of the prettiest English mares we have ever seen.

June 2007

Just Uss – Region 8 Denver Co.  June 5-8 – Just Uss took Reserve Champion western pleasure junior horse with Jody Strand. He was 1 – 2 – 2 on the cards. The wining horse was Scottsdale 2007 reserve champion.

GLF Karma – Region 10 Minneapolis MN June 14 – 17. We asked Tracy Ciaccio to show Karma in the 40 and over ATH class. Tracy had never show Karma before so we entered them in the pre show to give her some time in the ring with Karma. She won the pre show in a class of 13 pure bred Arabians. Tracy went on to take a top 5 at the regional and even had one 1st one the judge’s cards. Karma is qualified for two classes at the Canadian Nationals

Mi MorenaRegion 10 Minneapolis MN June 14 – 17. With Andy Sellman showing her she went unanimous Champion in the two year old pure bred halter class. She will now be going to the Canadian Nationals in August.

Zimbolic PGN +/ - Region 6 Brookings SD June 21 -24.  With very limited time as a hunt horse Zimbolic was entered in the open pure bred Arabian hunter class with Dianne Margerum were Dianne rode him to a regional top five finish.

The Color Of Fame – We are getting calls every day from clients telling us of the wonderful foals just born or the news that the mares have settled from this years shipments. Everyone is telling us that the quality of the shipments have been phenomenal. We have really had a lot of special stories this year.

Mario Leal of Ramonia Californi decided the shipment was so good he spit it and used it on two mares and both Mares settled the first time on one shipment!

David BoggsHad the first foal out of an embryo transplant from Color. A pinto filly.

Dale Henriksen and Ann HenriksenBrinkman of Henriksen Arabians, Auduubon Iowa reported that all four of their mares settled, but the big news is Divine Diva SA and DR Brocado (age 24) both settled on a shipment of frozen semen. These are the first mares we had shipped frozen semen to and the first to settle from it.

Cherlene Siddle – Her mare Lee Nakita Nacatt was settled with left over frozen semen from a shipment for one of her other mares! They are Serenity Arabians in Manchester Iowa.  Phone: 563-927-2321 or Mitch Siddle’s cell: 319-360-5427

May 2007

GLF Karma – She went to the Sahara sands show May 4 – 6 and continued showing very well. She is now qualified for regions 6, 10, and 11 and is going to region 10.

Mi Morina – We purchase Mi Morina who was last years third place finisher at the US Nationals in the yearling class. She is at Andy Sellman’s preparing for region 10 and the Canadian Nationals. We showed her at the Sauk Centre double the fun show May 18 – 19 th. She won her class and was named Champion JR. Mare. We will eventually breed her to Zimbolic PGN +/

Zimbolic PGN +/ - We have been working Zim in some hunt this year and took him to the Sauk Centre double the fun show May 18 – 19 th. He was champion reserve in the region 6 show and champion in the region show. He will be going to region 6.

Just Uss - He went to the Milwaukee show over Memorial Day weekend and continued his winning ways. He is now qualified for region 10 also. He will be going to region 8 and 10.

April 2007

Just Uss – He showed in the Sedalia MO Eastern Kansas all Arabian show and won every class he was in. He beat last years National top ten horse and is now qualified for region 6, 8, and 11.

The Color Of Fame - It is official!  The Color of Fame was the leading sire of half Arabian halter and performance horses at the 2007 Scottsdale show. Proving he sires horses that can do both.

GLF Karma - after a three year law off we took Karma to the Iowa Spring fling in Des Moines Iowa. Her first class was an open class where she placed second to a highly rated hunt horse with a national know trainer. Then she took three blue ribbons beating the same horse in the armature to ride class. In the championship she had a great run and took the reserve champion title be hind the same horse.

March 2007

Brass - Our Brass mare had her Color of Fame foal March 5th. It is one of the nicest Pinto Filly's I have ever seen. She has a very wonderful head is market really nice. We have sold both her and the filly to Fordham and Shelly Tucker from Scottsdale AZ. We wish them all the luck with their efforts of showing her this year.

Sammy - Sammy is a Fame VF daughter we leased from Connie Schultz of Avon Minnesota. She had her Color of fame foal the 1st of march. He is a chestnut colt and is the auction foal for the Iowa Gold Star futurity. He has a great temperament and looks like he will be a big boy.

MAHA's Fall Festival Sep. 28 - Oct. 1, 2006

Both Ka'healani SRA and Fametanium SRA were entered in the medallion yearling filly halter class. There were over fifty filly's entered in the class.  There were three sections of wonderfully breed Arabians all trying to get into the finals. The classes were extremely deep with great Filly's. There were incredible filly's who did not make the cut. Both our Ka'he and Tanie, as we call them, made the finals. In the final scoring our Ka'healani SRA make top ten placing fourth over all.

Dakota Classic September 2006

Glf Karma – after a two-year lay off we decided to start showing her again. We had Dianne Margerum work with her for a month and entered her in the Dakota Classic. She took first place in the open hunt division with Dianne Margerum, then Lauren Ciaccio, 17, who had never ridden her before took the first place trophy in the ATH class. Dianne then let Lauren take her in the championship class were Lauren won the championship.

BF Eternell - She had her Magnum Goold foal. A very nice Bey filly with no markings. She has a very nice head and neck. She looks like she is going to be a nice sized mare. Look for her in our sales section as soon as I can get photos. We are going to name her Eternell Gold SRA.

The Color of Fame - Color has moved from Shada’s to Willow Brook Arabians. There is an open barn policy at Willow Brook so if you want to see Color, make your plans and go. We are really excited, as this is the first time we will have all our horses in one location.

The Rock Of Fame – The Rock was born March 6 th. He is out of our Brass mare and Color. He is one of the nicest pinto colts I have ever seen. He could go all the way. I will post pictures as soon as we get some good ones.

Minnesota Fall Festival September 2005

Magnums Mai Tai – Mai Tai showed in the two year old non-auction filly halter class taking her second top ten title in two years. She will be showing in halter next year for her futurity year.

Canadian Nationals August 2005

Fames Reflection + - Reflection Took third in the halter stock / hunter half Arabian open class. This gave her, her top 10 Canadian title to go along with her top 10 U. S National and National Championship titles. We decided to for go the U. S Nationals with her this year as we are moving her into hunt training for the next season and wanted to get her started right away.

May - August 2005

Fames Reflection + - Rhonda and Jeff Schall showed a lot during this time with the following results. Double The Fun Half Arabian mare breeding open #1. Half Arabian mare breeding AO #1. Half Arabian open Championship Champion. Northern Arabian Show. Half Arabian mare breeding AO #1. Half Arabian mare breeding AO championship Champion. Region 10. Half Arabian Breeding Stock / Hunter type Reserve Champion. Region 6. Half Arabian Breeding Stock hunter type Top 5. Half Arabian Breeding Stock hunter type AO Top 5.

Magnums Mai Tai We decided to take her to the Memorial Day show in Iowa where she took first in all her classes. She won the Arabian breeding open class, the Arabian breeding AT class with Austin Figge, and won the over all Championship with Dianne Margerum. In Region 6 Rhonda showed her for the first time and took the Reserve regional Championship in the Arabian Breeding halter class and Dianne Margerum Took Top Five in the open division.

March – April 2005

Zimbolic Pgn+/ - we have decided that Zimmer’s breeding season this year was going to take precedence over his show career. Dianne Margerum has been working with him in hunt to change things up and to make it a little more fun for him. We took him to Des Moines Iowa for the Iowa early show and showed him in hunt. He did very well, taking a first and a second in his class and Dianne took champion reserve in the hunt open class. We hope to be showing him in both Hunt and western pleasure later in the year.

Troubles Legacy – we took Troubles down to Dianne for a few weeks of training and plans were to bring him back home after Dianne had worked with him for a while. Dianne called Rhonda and said she felt Troubles would make a really nice hunt horse and wanted to run him at Sahara Sands. He had never been shown in performance and we decided to give him a chance and see what he could do. So with a good week worth of training off he and Dianne go to Sahara Sands. In his first class, novice horses Dianne placed him fifth out of fifteen and we were thrilled. Fun to have no expectations and to see our gelding doing as well as he did. The next class was open geldings and Dianne and he had a better ride placing second out of nineteen competitors. Dianne then rode him in the open hunt championship. Talk about a thrill, they ran beautifully and took the champion reserve trophy. Guess we have a new hunt horse.

Fames Reflection + - after coming off her Scottsdale Senior Half Arabian Mare reserve championship, we needed to get her qualified for region 10. We showed her at Sahara Sands where she won her class and took the Senior Mare championship with Jeff Schall.

New Foals

Fametanium SRA
(Psytanium x Something Fameous)
She is a chestnut filly with her father’s looks. She is really tall and has the body to take her down the road for a good performance career.

Ka’healani SRA
(Odyssey SC X Coppertique)
Rhonda took one look at Ka’healani and said to her self, “what a sweet little baby!” then a phrase popped in to her head. The phrase was Ka’healani which means in Hawaiian “sweet little Hawaiian baby) she is chestnut and we think the one to watch in the yearling filly halter classes.

Love My Color SRA
(The Color Of Fame X Amira Rose)
She is a really tall filly that we think has it all. She is Bey, with a white snip, and four white legs. She is fine boned and elegant. She will be our Half Arabian futurity yearling in the National NSH, Minnesota NSH, Iowa Gold and North Star.

2005 Scottsdale Show Results

December 24, 2004

We would like to wish all our clients a merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. We are looking forward to the year 2005 and all the things we see in our future at Serr'Raa Arabians. To finish off the 2004-year here are some up dates of things that have taken place sense the US Nationals.

Fames Reflection. We have just purchased Fames Reflection. She is a four-year-old mare out of The Color Of Fame. She was a National Champion in 2003 in Halter. Our plans are to show her in halter this year with Jerry Schall and Rhonda. Her first show under us will be Scottsdale in February, were we are planning a big promotion with Color. Further plans are to cross her with Zimbolic PGN +/ later in the year and to start her towards a new career in county English

Amira Rose. We liked The Color Of Roses, her last years foal, so much we ended up buying Amira Rose and she is in foal with The Color Of Fame. Hope this one is a nice as her last one.

The Color Of Fame. Breeding sale have been more than we expected and we are delighted. It has been very exciting and fun getting to know so many new clients. We will be continuing promotions through out the year. My goal is to help anyone who truly wants to breed to him, be able to do so. With Serenade taking six National titles, (never accomplished by any other horse) I am wondering who will breed the National Champion? Thanks to every one of you who were involved with breeding and showing his gets last year. It was really exciting to watch so many of his gets at nationals last year.

Zimbolic PGN +/. He was not in his best form at Nationals. He make a good run but feel short of his top form. The lay off from his injury gave us very little time to prepare him. The good news is we have figured out what the issues were and he is moving better than we have ever seen him right now. We are looking forward to the 2005 season and the up coming breeding season. We have some wonderful crosses for him this year.

News for September 2004
Fall feast September 16 - 19 2004

We took Zimbolic Pgn +/ down to the show so Rhonda could spend some time riding him, as they are getting ready for Nationals and for the stallion presentations. It was the first time he has been shown with just a lead in a presentation. It was really nicely done, with smoke and flashing lights. He was the first in the arena and put on a great show for the crowd. We had many positive comments from a lot of people who had never seen him not under saddle. Right before the Auction he was presented again and I was standing with Bobbie Boggs. When Zimbolic PGN +/ came out Bobbies went Wow and then asked, "where did this horse come from and who had been hiding him" He too had never seem him displayed without his saddle. We had a lot of fun at the auction and a new record set at the auction this year.

AW Loves A Dance - She competed in the Two year old futurity class. There were a lot of nice filly and it was a large class. She did very well and we were very happy with her finish. I figure she was about fourth and won top 10 honors. She is now back in Brainerd with us and we are enjoying every minute having our beautiful gray filly home.

Magnums Mai Tai - She was in the yearling filly class. It was unbelievable! 54 horse competing for 10 spots and we could not find a week Filly. She made the first cut in her section and went on to the finals. What a final it was, 20 fillies and all could have been the winner. The cards were all over the place. Though she did not win she did take top 10 honors also. We walked away from fall feast felling good about our two girls and two top 10's

Zimbolic PGN +/ - He is now doing well and we have his slight lameness issue well under control. Rhonda will be showing him at nationals October 7 - 17 and he is moving very well. He is now at Willow Brook Arabians with Dianne Margerum. Dianne will be showing him in the open class at nationals.

The Color Of Fame - I ran an email offering from the Arabian Horse Network letting people know that we were going to reduce his breeding rates for the remainder of the year and that we had recently purchased him. It was truly amazing. I had 67 e-mails the first day. A few were just fan mail but most were inquires on breeding. I am still receiving e-mails. The big news is, we are offering a new owners rate until January 2005 of $1250 with multi breeding discounts. Contact either us or Mike Van Handel at Shada's for any further information. We also took him to the NSH show and he was a big hit. His breeding went for $2850 there! Mike showed one of his new fillies, The Color of Roses in their futurity taking top ten honors and placing 1st, on one card. She is out of Amira Rose.

News August 2004 - Serr'Raa bloodline comes back to the farm!

We are really excited to announce the addition of two new mares to our breeding program. They are sisters to our beloved Serr'raa. They are two of only about twenty true Babson - *Turfa Arabians (with 25% or more *Turfa blood and no Sirecho blood) left in existence and gives us the opportunity to introduce not only to our breeding program but to future generations as well this very special and historical Al Khamsa Bedouin blood line. One look at these two and you can just see the endurance ability and the classic features. Our plans are to cross both Zimbolic PGN and The Color Of Fame to both mares and get this bloodline back into the Arabian and Half Arabian for front.

Ru Bint Raada 286541. Bint as we call her is a pure white Babson - *Turfa. She is around 15 hands. Has great legs and feet on her that we believe will add to the athleticism of her off spring. She has a classic head and nice confirmation. She is a descendent of Fadl, Bint Serra I, and *Turfa

Ru Raa Nefada 210461. Lady as we call her is a big bay mare. Long in the neck, and legs. She also has good strong straight legs and nice size hoofs. Her bloodlines are very much the same as her sisters with Fadl, Bint Serra I, and *Turfa strong in her linage.

Zimbolic Pgn +/. He is healing well under Rhonda's care and they are getting ready for their run at the US Nationals. We will be moving him soon to Willow Brook Arabians in Buffalo Minnesota to finish the preparation with Dianne Margerum. Watch For Dianne and Rhonda in the prue breed Arabian classes at nationals.

News for the month of July 2004

There has been a lot going on even though we have not been showing. Some of the news is good and some of the news I will be sharing has not been what we were hoping for.

The Big Mac - He has been leased to Sam and Abbie Leopard of Cedar Falls Iowa. Abbie is a trainer and Mac was leased for Sam to show. Everyone knows Mac is one of my favorites and I feel he is going to a good home and nice situation. We wish Sam all the luck in the world with his show career with Big Mac. They told me they were looking for a horse to take them over the top and thought Mac was that horse. Mac will not be at the Canadian Nationals or U.S nationals as Sam wants to gain some experience on him so he will be ready next year for his own run at a national top 10.

Zimbolic PGN +/ - he has an injury that has effected his training time and we need to give him some rest. Nothing serious but we are more about the over all quality of his life, long term health and have decided not to push him for the Canadian Nationals. We are going to rest him and get him ready for the U.S. Nationals

Raffles - (MW Bourbon Street) When we won Raffles we brought him home to assess him. We found him to be just a delightful horse. Lots of personality and feel he would make a great youth and or starter horse. He is calm and learns quickly. Jay Avery is a young man who works at Gray Wolf where we stable in Brainerd. He has been great with our horse and has given our horse very special attention. He loves horses and works at his job because of his love of them. He did not own a horse and Terry Kenny the owner of Gray Wolf had given him the use of one of her Quarter horse fillies to start his halter career. Jay's favorite horse in the whole barn was our Troubles. He talked about it every day until Raffles came in the Barn. Raffles took over the number one spot and it was fun to watch the two of them. We decided to bring another person into the Arabian world and with the promise that he would show and train Raffles we gave him to Jay. We like the fact they are in our barn and we can watch Jay work with him every day.

GLF Karma - with great regret I have to inform every one that she absorbed her foal by Zimbolic PGN +/

Imagine Mi Bask - we also lost her foal in the third month of her pregnancy.

News Zimbolic June 2004

Region 10 Show results
Due to the short turn around time between region 10 and 6 we did not have our horses in a heavy schedule so they would be well rested for region 6. The trip from Milwaukee to Gillette and only a days rest prompted us to pull out of 10 a day early and forgo one class for Zimbolic Pgn +/ and Rhonda.

Zimbolic PGN +/
Rhonda rode in only one class in Western pleasure on Zimbolic and won her first regional championship! We were thrilled and decided at this time to leave early and rest the horses and the rider for region 6. Corey James rode Zimbolic PGN +/ to a regional top 5 in the open western pleasure class. It was not Corey's and zimmers best ride by far and in checking the judges cards he was third in a deep class. This qualified Zimmer for nationals in both events

The Big Mac
Corey and Brenda James Daughter, Emily rode The Big Mac to a top 5 finish in the 17 and under half Arabian western pleasure class qualifying both her and Mac for nationals. This is only the ending of a great story and the story is well worth telling. It was one of the most marvelous things I have ever witnessed. For some reason they were testing tires at the race track which is only fifty yards from the show arena. The sound of the racecars going 220 MPH was driving the horses crazy and no one could hear the calling of the ringmaster. So now they call Emily's class and there are 14 older riders and then there is this one 11-year-old girl going in the ring with all this loud racket. There is one horse in particularly that goes crazy and is bucking and breaking all over the place and who do you think that horse picked to be around? The Big Mac and Emily the whole ride. Right at the end of the ride the horse got sideways and started bucking at the rail and getting closer to Emily and Mac. Emily just looked forward and steered The Big Mac through this tiny little opening to finish her ride. The Big Mac and Emily never filched once over the noise or the other horse. In checking the cards after the class Emily had finished one spot out of the Reserve Championship.

News weekend of may 22 - 23

We did not show this week but we did send two of our horses to the youth round up in Winona Minnesota. Corey's and Brenda's Daughter Emily road 'The Big Mac" to the half Arabian western pleasure reserve championship, and she took first place when she haltered YA Fameous One. This qualified Emily and both horse for the youth nationals.

Talking about the youth, we attended Midwest's open house, where David Boggs donated a horse by the name of Bourbon Street to the youth program. They sold raffle tickets to raise money. Well, we now have a new horse called Bourbon Street he is a gelding out of magnum Psych.

Show results may 14 - 16th Sauk Center MN Double the fun show

Zimbolic Pgn +/
Rhonda placed second in the AOTH 40 and over out of a field of 18 riders. Corey won his class and won the open western pleasure championship.

The Big Mac
Corey rode Big Mac to a first place in the open Jr. Horse western pleasure class. This was the deepest class we had seen all year. Emily, who is Corey and Brenda James daughter, went for her first ride on The Big Mac" in competition. She had only ridden him twice before in the barn. She took her first blue ribbon on him in the 10 to 17 western pleasure class. She will be riding him in the youth programs.
